Clean Water Protects Health—When It’s Used Safely
Clean water improves lives not only when it’s available, but when it’s used in ways that protect health. Many water-related illnesses spread through everyday activities like washing hands, preparing food, or using sanitation facilities—especially where proper hygiene infrastructure is missing.
That’s why hygiene and sanitation are a core part of our work.
In communities across Uganda, we support access to simple, reliable handwashing stations that make healthy habits easier to practice. Depending on the setting, we install:
-
Portable handwashing stations that can be placed where they’re needed most—at homes, schools, or community gathering points.
-
Permanent handwashing systems built alongside latrine facilities, using stored water to ensure handwashing is always possible when it matters most.
By making hygiene accessible and practical, communities are better protected from disease—and clean water delivers its full promise of healthier, safer lives.
Impact at a Glance
IMPACT: Handwashing access for 50–250 people (portable stand) or 100–500 people (permanent system)
LIFESPAN: 20+ years with proper use and maintenance
COST: $100 USD (portable handwashing stand) or $1,700 USD (permanent handwashing system)

Seeing Your Support at Work
When you support a handwashing stand or station, your involvement doesn’t end at delivery.
Once the stand or system is installed, our team follows up by sharing photos and brief project details from the community it’s serving. This way, you can see how your support is helping promote hygiene and protect health in real, tangible ways.
Because impact matters—and so does staying connected to the change you helped make.
