BOREHOLE WELLS REHABILITATION

Borehole rehabilitation focuses on repairing and upgrading existing wells that have fallen into disrepair due to wear, corrosion, or mechanical failure. By restoring functionality, this solution quickly brings safe water back to communities while maximizing the value of existing infrastructure.

Rehabilitations

Sometimes, existing water points need repairs that exceed the financial or technical capacity of the local government and community. Rehabilitating a well or piped system can cost almost as much as building a new one because rehabilitation may require heavy machinery, replacement of hardware and concrete, or the reformation of Water User Committees. Still, it’s an efficient solution because it avoids drilling a new well.

A Look Inside Our Reporting

Transparency is core to how we work, and we believe sharing progress openly builds trust.

To support this, we use mWater, a global water data system used in more than 150 countries to collect, manage, and analyze water project information. Through this platform, project data such as GPS locations, photos, survey results, and field observations can be securely recorded and reviewed by our team and partners.

Using tools like mWater helps us document work accurately, make informed decisions, and strengthen how we track and communicate progress as our projects move forward.
